Ingredients:
1 uncooked pizza dough, store bought or home made
1 10 ounce jar E&V Red Bell Pepper Ancho Chili Jam
1 pound hot Italian sausage
2 onions, thinly sliced
½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
12 ounces shredded mozzarella or an Italian blend of cheese
Preparation & Cooking Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cook sausage in a skillet until well done and crispy. Remove sausage and cook onions in sausage drippings until caramelized. Prepare pizza dough according to package directions. Spread E&V Red Bell Pepper Ancho Chili Jam over pizza dough and top with cheese, sausage, onions and bell pepper slices. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Serves 6 to 8
Tressa's Tip: This pizza only works with a spicy sausage to counter balance the sweetness of the jam.
