Ingredients: 3 oz Earth & Vine Provisions Spiced Fig Pear Fruit Butter 1 large pizza dough 4 oz crumbled Gorgonzola cheese 3 oz pancetta or bacon 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced 3 large fresh figs, cut into thin slices Olive oil
Cooking Instructions: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cook pancetta or bacon until crispy, drain on a paper towel and set aside, when cool crumble. Caramelize onions in pancetta drippings over medium/high heat, when caramelized set aside in skillet. Brush pizza bread with olive oil and evenly spread Spiced Fig Pear Fruit Butter over pizza round. Top with crumbled pancetta, gorgonzola cheese, caramelized onions and sliced figs, bake pizza on a pizza stone or pan for 15 to 18 minutes, or until cheese is hot and melted and crust is lightly browned. Serve with a salad for dinner or slice thin for an appetizer. |
