INGREDIENTS:
4 oz crab meat
8 oz cream cheese
3 tablespoons Earth & Vine Provisions Red Bell Pepper & Ancho Chili Jam + extra for serving
2 tablespoons capers
1 package of wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
PREPARATIONS:
Blend all five ingredients together until well mixed.
Place one tablespoon of crab mix into each wrapper and follow package instructions for wrapping.
In a large skillet or small deep fryer, heat oil to 350 degree.
Place 5 to 6 wontons in skillet and fry until golden brown on each side, turning only once.
Serve warm with Red Bell Pepper & Ancho Chili Jam as dipping sauce.
Yields approximately 45 won tons.
Tressa's Tip: If you don't want the extra work of wrapping won tons and frying them, serve crab spread as a dip with pita chips.
